1.User requirements

Teaching staff and researchers belonging to universities or public research institutions, who are carrying out collaborative research with researchers from this Institute.

2.How to use Human Cancer Tissue Bank

When carrying out collaborative research with researchers from this Institute, and wishing to use research samples at the Human Cancer Tissue Bank, please first contact the address below, and then fill out the following necessary items and send to the address for submissions as given below.
  • Please send the Letter of Consent (For Human Cancer Tissue Bank) form together with a stamped self-addressed envelope to the depositor, have the terms of use clearly stated, and first obtain consent from the depositor.
  • Teaching staff/researchers who wish to use samples should be examined by and obtain consent from the Ethics Committee and Conflict of Interest Committee in relation to the relevant collaborative research using human cancer tissue.
  • Fill out the necessary items in the Request for Provision of Research Samples (For Human Cancer Tissue Bank) and Letter of Agreement for Provision of Biological Genetic Resources (For Human Cancer Tissue Bank), and then send together with the Letter of Consent, Ethics Committee Application/Examination Results (copy) and Conflict of Interest Committee Application/Examination Results (copy) to the address for submissions as given below.
  • When requested by universities, please imprint the official seal of the dean; and when requested by research institutions, please imprint the official seal of the head of the institution in the “signatures and seals from heads of institutions” field common to all documents.
  • Research tissues will be sent only after all documents have arrived at the Institute, and contact will be made by fax or e-mail the day prior to dispatch.
  • Research samples are free of charge in principle, but please cover the transportation expenses for the sending of samples (these expenses must be paid on delivery).
